A section of Molo residents has come out guns blazing to protest a plan to grade the controversial Molo-Kibunja road.

This emerged after details surfaced that the Nakuru County government are planning to grade the road ahead of a governor Kinuthia Mbugua visit to the sub-county.

“This road has become a menace to residents. We have been lamenting its constructing but all the leaders have heard none of it. We do not want any grading as that will make the situation worse,” John Kimani lamented.

Kimani says the grading will make the road so dusty and impassable when rains hit.

Moses Gachiri, a vocal community leader in Molo, said the move to grade the road is a purely political move.

“All these leaders have neglected Molo and we have really suffered about this road. We do not want any grading, that will leave us with untold dust here,” Josephine Kabiru, whose house is located along the road, said.
