Killings of sex workers in Nakuru town has aroused diverse reactions among residents of Molo. Josephine Wajira, a parent said that as much the activity is illegal, the ladies do not deserve killing.
"I know that what they do for a living is not socially accepted but no one deserves to be killed like an animal. It's unfair to see young people dying prematurely," she said.
John Kariuki challenged the leadership to provide the girls with job opportunities since it is one of the reasons young girls opted to join the illegal venture to begin with.
"I would like to call upon the leadership to provide job opportunities for the youths. It will help in reducing exposing them to the risky business," he said.
Priscilla Wanjiru also condemned the henious act and she further challenged parents to save the young generation by training them appropriately.
"It is wrong to kill anyone. I feel disappointed by the deaths of the commercial sex workers. I however call on parents to save the young generation by training them well on good morals and provide financial support and guidance to themwhere possible," she said.
Commercial sex workers in Nakuru town have been demanding protection from the government after the killing of their members recently. Nakuru county Women Representative Mary Mbugua and the Nakuru East MP David Gikaria have also condemned the action vehemently.
