The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) in conjunction with a local construction company has called on Molo youths to apply for jobs in the on-going road maintenance project that was launched Monday.
According the authority’s director general Engineer Peter Mundinia, they were ready to use locals in the area to offer manpower for the success of the project.
“Because we are in Molo, we have advised our contractor to recruiting local youths on contract basis for convenience purposes. If you believe you have what it takes, come, let’s work together in improving the state of roads in this area,” he said.
Speaking after officially launching the exercise that will be facilitated by the Centre Star Construction Company, Mundinia exuded confidence in completing the road on time saying that the road will be fully completed before the end of 2016.
Residents have been advised to use other feeder roads as alternative routes that will not inconvenience them is formulated by the end of the month.
KeNHA is in the process of maintaining and repairing roads affiliated to the authority in Nakuru County.
