Mombasa youths on Wednesday, while at coast youth forum commissioned by President Kenyatta, demanded that the president establish a system of youth political mentorship in each county.
They said by doing so, young people will be well guided on how to make political judgments concerning the county and the country as a whole.
The youths, led by Andrew Asia, of Jomvu Constituency, said that majority of politicians in the coastal area have one common trait of looking for the youth during or right before the election period but do not help them after elections are over.
In addition, these young people asked the president to ensure that young people who have done commendable things be acknowledged.
On his part, President Kenyatta, assured all young people who attended the meeting promised the youth in attendance that all their grievances and problems would be sorted out.
The meeting was a great opportunity for the youth to give their views and air their grievances.
