Suspects in the graft allegations have been urged to step aside to pave the way for investigations.
The new anti-graft chief, Philip Kinisu is among those who want the suspects implicated in the graft to step aside and be investigated. This comes just a day after CORD leader, Raila Odinga called for the suspects to step down.
Raila called on the resignation of majority leader, Aden Duale and Elgeyo Marakwet senator, Murkomen Kipchumba. Another person who is being pressurised to step aside is the treasury CS, Henry Rotich. These calls, however, seem to fall on deaf ears as none of the said suspects are willing to resign.
Duale said that just by mentioning his name, the former devolution and planning CS, Anne Waiguru cannot force him to resign.
