Matungulu MP Stephen Mule has urged the government to withdraw the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops from Somalia to prevent the death of more soldiers.
Speaking during the funeral of a former teacher in Kaukiswa area on Saturday, Mule said that it was painful for the country to watch as Kenyan soldiers are murdered in Somalia.
Mule asked the president to stop being adamant about the issue and pull out the troops from Somalia.
The MP urged the president to learn from America which withdrew its forces from Somalia.
"America is a superpower yet it withdrew its forces from Somalia. Why is the Kenyan government hesitating to do so when so many soldiers have been killed?” said Mule.
He added, “The government should not wait until the entire troop is swept away in order for it to wake up.”
