Nyando MP Fred Outa has condemned actions of chiefs and their assistants in Kadibo division in his constituency who have chosen to work under Kisumu East sub county.
Outa said Kadibo division had been hived off Kisumu East and was transferred to Nyando sub county.
He said government departments that were within Kadibo had transferred their services to Nyando sub county and wondered why chiefs have declined to do so.
The MP said he met with Kisumu East sub county deputy commissioner, adding that his people in Kadibo are missing out certain services under the provincial administration.
“I told the sub county deputy commissioner to direct chiefs from Kadibo to stop bending the law,” he said.
Speaking in his constituency on Tuesday, the MP said he will not allow Kadibo to operate under Kisumu East, while in law they are under Nyando sub county.
He said the people of Kadibo are equally against their chiefs dragging them to Kisumu, hence denying them some essentials services.
Outa said Kadibo people are missing funds like for the elderly, widows and orphans since they have been transferred to Kisumu.
“My people are suffering and as their representative I will not sit back and watch. I assure my people that I will strive to ensure that chiefs in Kadibo stop allegiance to Kisumu East,” he said.
