Gatundu North Member of Parliament Francis Kigo Njenga has called on area electorates to flock the voter registration centres and ensure no qualified voter is left unregistered.
Kigo reminded the residents that better development projects, calm environment working condition and peace can only be enhanced by better country leadership telling them that it was wise if all registered to re-elect Uhuru Kenyatta.
He noted that residents needed to be proactive in ensuring they are fully registered.
The legislator revealed that Gatundu North had been awarded 16 biometric kits which he said would ensure that no one would be left behind in the exercise.
"Youth wake up and register, you have all heard it from the media how other counties like Nyanza have been flocking their registration centres. If we want peace, better leadership and increased developments in our region, we need to re-elect Uhuru who has electrified our remote areas, facilitated exploration of new tea markets abroad leading to better prices, attracted investors to our country who have created job opportunities among other projects," he said.
Kigo lauded the decision by ICC judges to withdraw the use of recanted evidence on the cases of Deputy President William Ruto and his co-accused Joshua Arap Sang.
He said that Kenyans unity in prayers had retarded the cases adding that without enough evidence the case would end soon.
The Mp who was addressing journalists on Monday at Igegania shopping centre urged the president to appoint corrupt free members to probe the coffee mayhem in the central region.
He pointed out that corrupt cartels were on the move to kill the cash crop which had rendered many poor.
He said that coffee farmers needed a better trading environment to arouse the crop which had been uprooted by many farmers due to reduced returns.
Kigo urged Kiambu leaders to work in harmony and reduce political battles as a way of erasing shame.
He castigated the leaders who always engage in rows hindering the president to visit the area due to fear of being ashamed.
His speech comes after the president revealed in his Nyeri visit that he feared to visit Kiambu due to political battles between the county boss William Kabogo and Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu.
