The Amani National Congress (ANC) party has officially opened its county offices in Naivasha with a majority of party leaders promising to work with any willing leader.
Speaking after officiating the opening ceremony on Tuesday, party chairperson and former Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi noted that the move was aimed at giving the party a national look as they restructure ahead of 2017.
He accused some parties of encouraging tribalism and individualism by not welcoming members affiliated to other tribes.
"This is also affecting the fight against corruption because the majority are supporting their corrupt tribesmen because of the numbers," he said.
Mudavadi, who once made history by being the shortest serving Vice President predicted a failed devolved system of government arguing that corruption had overlooked the real mandate of devolution.
"It’s sad that other than devolving services and development, corruption is their order of the day in many counties. Unless something is done, the country is going to plunge into a huge wage bill in the near future," he said.
He called on all willing hearts to join ANC to help him cater for the demands of people from different regions at the national level.
The party is represented in Parliament by Martha Wangare, a nominated Senator.
