Contractors who do a shoddy work in Murera ward of Juja sub-county will not be paid, the area MCA George Kioi has said.
He said that contractors in his ward should be paid once they complete the projects to the set standards.
The MCA who was speaking at Murera area during a funeral on Friday said that the Sh66 million allocated to the ward will be utilised prudently.
"No one will get even a penny for work incomplete, shoddy or substandard work," he said.
Kioi said that in order to improve sports in the ward, Sh1 million had been allocated for buying of sports equipment.
He said residents would receive tree seedlings to conserve the environment once Sh5 million is released for utilisation. He said the tree planting drive has already been planned for including the buying of seedlings.
He urged residents to plant seedlings available to them as they await communication from the county government on its plans to make maximum use of the current rains.
