Political temperatures are rising in Machakos County as elected leaders engage in blame game accusing each other of mudslinging each other.
A section of youth staged a demonstration accusing governor Mutua of having hired them for political purposes but failed to pay them.
The group of youth demonstrated outside governor Mutua’s office demanding they be paid for services offered.
They claimed Mutua hired them to appear in his meeting and embarrass area political big wig Kalonzo Musyoka and senator John stone Muthama.
However, Mutua rubbished the claims saying the group of youths was hired by his political opponents, Wiper party boss Kalonzo Musyoka and Senator Johnston Muthama, to tarnish his name and ensure his Chap Chap Movement is not launched.
"I do not pay for audiences. Everyone who turned up for the rally did that by his or her own will. All those protests were choreographed by my enemies. You can see the camera work was done poorly and it was late at night. Media houses must have been compromised to air that clip," Mutua said.
