Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has held a cabinet meeting with his county ministers for a briefing on his recent meetings with investors.
In a press release after the cabinet meeting on Friday evening, the governor said his meeting with potential investors abroad had been very successful, and that the investors were ready to come to Machakos to set up factories.
“I also informed them of the direct jobs that I bagged for our youth to work in the Middle East,” Mutua said, referring to his briefing to county executive committee members.
“These job-creating programmes are aimed at rolling back poverty which is the key agenda for my government and our Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement,” the former national government spokesperson said.
Mutua revealed that his cabinet agreed to the programme of upgrading to bitumen standard of key road within the county and the household water project.
“So far, road works are going on in Kathiani- Kakuyuni to Kangundo road, Kivandini to Masinga road, Katangi to Matuu road and Syokimau-Katani road,” the governor added.
