Machakos County governor Dr Alfred Mutua has said that he has no intentions to divide the Kamba nation.
Mutua said this as he addressed Machakos residents across Matungulu Sub County during a tour of the area.
He noted that some leaders have been dragging his name in the mud claiming he is out to divide the Kamba nation. The governor said that all he is doing is for the good of the people of Machakos County and that he was not interested in dividing the Kamba people.
"I understand the need of the people and I'm not interested in dirty politics. All I want is to fulfil the promises I made to the people as actions speak louder than words," said Dr Mutua.
The governor warned the people against being misled by word of mouth from critics but to watch and see the right people who come to their aid when in need.
Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama has on several occasions accused the governor of trying to divide the Kamba people and belittling the wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
