Bloggers in Nakuru town will on Friday, February 19 conduct a workshop for people interesting in blogging.
The one-day workshop will be held at the American Corner of the Kenya National Library and it is open to all those who want to get into blogging but lack the skills to make the plunge.
“A lot of people have been coming to me to ask about blogging and over time I’ve realised there is a need to give all the interested people a platform to ask all the questions they have about blogging,” says Joseph Ngugi, one of the event organisers.
Ngugi is best known as Josey Mras, and has a blog that focuses on technology.
Apart from introducing people to blogging, the workshop will also cover topics like making money online where Martin Gicinga who is also a freelance writer with Hivisasa will be a speaker.
The theme for the event is "Growing careers from passion."
Other speakers who are lined to speak at the event are Chief Kariuki and James Wakibia who will be talking about running successful online media campaigns.
Chief Kariuki is known all over the world for using twitter as a community policing tool and Wakibia has also run some several online campaigns with great success.
