The Nakuru business community has lauded the police department for the improved security in the town.

Nakuru business owners’ patron Harun Mwangi said they are enjoying a conducive business environment because of the peace and good work being done by security apparatus.

Mwangi said the police have done a commendable job in ensuring the town is secure for traders and investors.

Speaking Tuesday during a phone interview, Mwangi said more investors have chosen to invest in Nakuru because of its security.

“As the business community we are happy with the current security situation of Nakuru town and we want to laud the police for doing a good job. Currently, Nakuru is among the safest towns in Kenya and that is why investors are trooping to the region,” said the patron.

Mwangi added that the business community is planning to roll out a reward scheme for police officers who are dedicated to their work.

“We will soon launch a scheme where we will be rewarding police officers who are hardworking and  who are dedicated at ensuring that Nakuru is safe as a way of motivating them more and motivating others to work hard,” he said.

He called on Nakuru residents to help the police in keeping the town safe through the community policing initiative.
