The county government of Nakuru will impart advanced agricultural and agribusiness knowledge to farmers aimed at expanding their ability to harness and yield more horticultural produce, governor Mbugua has said.
Governor Mbugua was speaking on Sunday when he attended the 5th annivesary of the PCEA Naivasha town Parish as he mobilised resources for the church.
"I am glad to be back home with a wealth of insights and opportunities which we will share and implement for the prosperity of our bountiful county. During my visit in Ningxia Hui, we sampled various horticultural products produced in the park including melons, potatoes, tomatoes, among many others being grown using modern and sustainable technology which we can emulate and benefit from here as well," he said.
He also added that partnership with Ningxia Hui was important since Naivasha is a key hub for horticultural produce both locally and internationally and thus the need to learn lessons from them. He was accompanied by various leaders from the sub county and officials from the county government.
