The Kenya National Library Services-Nakuru branch remains optimistic that a promise made by Nakuru county governor Kinuthia Mbugua mid last year of donating chairs to the branch will be fulfilled soonest.
Purity Kavuri the KNLS-Nakuru branch librarian confessed that the delay had caused inconveniences to the library users.
"Our Library capacity is three thousand participants, but the sitting capacity especially the chairs we have less than three hundred," Purity admits.
The Librarian added that he has been following the Nakuru County Government through the county ministry of education where she was informed that the tendering process had been completed, though the chairs are yet to be delivered.
‘’I keep on following up almost every week, my biggest challenge will be when the schools close and we don’t have the chairs. Primary & High schools students flock this place such that they are forced to sit on the floor,’’ said Purity.
Efforts to contact the county ministry of education were fruitless as the calls went unanswered.
