Youth in Nakuru have called on the president and Deputy president to come and meet them as he did with the youth in Mombasa.

Speaking during a youth meeting held at Stem Hotel in Nakuru, the youth drawn from various sub counties and youth groups said time had come for the youth to be taken seriously. They also said that they will be moving all over the county sensitizing the youth on their role in politics.

In a statement read by Charles Njihia whom the youth have identified as the interim chairman of the yet to be launched Jubilee Party, the youth called on both the president and his deputy to visit Nakuru and discuss the development agenda with the youth in Nakuru.

“We welcome the president and deputy president to visit Nakuru to address the youth on development agenda of the youth in Nakuru,” read part of the joint statement.

Addressing the same gathering, Phillip Ngo’k the president of the Nakuru Youth Bunge said that it was time the youth came together and spoke in one voice.

“We have come together as the youth and women of this county to declare that we are the majority and as such we shall set the political agenda for this county,” said Ngo’k.
