Nakuru Hawkers and Street Traders Association chairman Simon Nasieku has called on hawkers to register in large numbers ahead of next year's polls.
Nasieku told hawkers that they have a major decision to make in next year's elections and they can only do so using the voter's card.
Speaking Sunday in Nakuru town, Nasieku called on hawkers to take the weapon that will help them change the county leadership.
"Hawkers must come out and register as voters because we are determined to change the county leadership in 2017," he added.
"We have been neglected but we have the votes to speak on our behalf and that is why hawkers must register as voters,"he added.
Nasieku said he will visit all markets within Nakuru to mobilise hawkers to register as voters.
"I will be moving from stall to stall telling my people to go and register before time is up," he said.
