Land grabbers in Kisii County has been warned and told to evacuate from such plots for public use.
Speaking at Kisii town on Friday while conducting an inspection on some lands that have been grabbed in Kisii town and its environs, National Lands Commission chairman Muhammed Swazuri cautioned grabbers them and told them to evacuate immediately.
Swazuri said that it is so illegal for a person grabbing a public land for his own development projects while the government needs such land for development.
“It is so wrong for individuals to grab public land which needs to be used for developments as the commission we will not allow that,” said Swazuri.
He further said that the commission is going to react upon the grabbers as they are going to send those letters to the grabbers, telling them to evacuate.
“As a commission, we are going to send them letters telling them to evacuate as by acquired by the law," added Swazuri.
The places that the chairman inspected and found the mess was at Nyanchwa, Daraja Mbili high school among others.
