Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has called on local leaders to lead by example and desist from activities aimed at questioning the governments’ development strategy.

Speaking at the county headquarters on Tuesday during a handing over ceremony of ambulances, fire engines and ward administration vehicles purchased to ease service delivery at the sub county and ward level, the governor expressed confidence in his representatives at all levels saying that he was satisfied with the work they had done so far.

He downplayed earlier accusations that some administrators were not qualified to serve in the capacity with a section of civil societies, saying that some did not even go through the County Public Service Board.

“In this team, all of them are qualified personnel who underwent through a vigorous, open and fair process, in fact none of them holds anything less a masters degree,” the governor said.

He called on residents to make it a habit using the administrators'offices to present their grievances rather than demonstrating or camping at the county headquarters.

“Our people should use these county administrative structures at their disposal to solve their local issues, refer to us when the matter at stake is practically beyond ward and sub county offices,” he said.

Each sub county received an ambulance for  major hospitals while administrators were given an official car to aid them in their day to day functions with two fire engines being given.
