The MCA lauded the Kiambu government for initiating the Biashara Fund which he said has helped many people get funds to start business.

He said that unemployment rates are slowly decline adding that more such initiatives should be initiated.

The Ndeiya Ward Representative said that addressing unemployment will create an environment for socio-economic development in Kiambu and across the country.

The MCA also encouraged the marginalized groups to apply for government tenders.

“Marginalized groups should grab the opportunity they have been given and do business with government through tendering” he said.

Munga said that the 30 per cent tenders set aside for marginalized groups was meant to empower and engage them in development.

The Ndeiya MCA asked the national and the county government to sensitise the marginalised groups on tendering noting that many have little information on the application procedure and the requirements needed.
