Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital workers union have elected their new leaders in a peaceful and well-organized procedure contrary of previous elections.

Ms Judith Jerotich was voted in by the paramedical staff as their new leader (Chairlady)which is affiliated to the Kenya Union of domestic, hostels and educational institution.

After the election Jerotich pledged to champion the welfare of its members as the second largest hospital in East and Central Africa; Moi Teaching and Referral hospital. 

Members accused the former leader, saying he had shown poor leadership style during his tenure.

"I want to assure members that I will champion the welfare of the workers, I will not let you down, let hold hands and we shall all succeed, we know the office was not working as expected, I will revive it,'' says Jerotich.

Among other leaders who were elected was Mr Amokua Anyona as Union Secretary and Mr Kiplagat Rop as shop Steward.
