Thika MP Alice Ng’ang’a has said all projects which have benefited from Constituency Development Fund (CDF) should be inscribed ‘CDF funded’ with immediate effect.
She said that implementing committees must ensure that their projects were identified with the donor to avoid confusion with other projects that were funded by other donors.
The MP said that by doing that residents will easily know whether some projects were done by the county or national government.
She was speaking at Ngoliba ward on Tuesday when she inspected CDF projects in the area.
The MP said that county government leaders should also identify the projects that they were funding in Thika and avoid lying to the public that the CDF projects are theirs as they have been doing.
He revealed that there was Sh10 million set aside by her office to construct a modern laboratory for the Thika Girls School which was flagged off this year.
She said that parents in Thika should be grateful and take their children to the new school as Thika has been without a girls secondary school for years yet they don’t take their children there.
The MP said that the county government should avail their development projects and not high-jacking her projects and attending the launching.
