Bahati MP has condemned a group of Coalition for reform and democracy protesters in Kodele, Kisumu for what he has said as acting blindly.
On Monday youths from Kodele in Kisumu went out to the streets in protest of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) alleged “belittling” of Raila Odinga by summoning him.
Kimani Ngunjiri said that the protesters had no reason at all to stage a protest on grounds that Raila Odinga had been summoned by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.
“It paints a very bad picture of some Kenyans because why would they demonstrate over summoning?”he implored.
He said that EACC summoned him with an aim to get more information on Eurobond saga which has has for the past three weeks been talking about.
“Raila is the one who started the Eurobond issue and that is why EACC summoned him so that they could get more information from him because seemingly, he knows something that we do not know.Nobody has to demonstrate because of that,” he said.
Ngunjiri spoke during Arahuka show in Kameme FM on Tuesday.
Other jubilee leaders expressed discontentment with how EACC handled Odinga’s issue citing preferential treatment.
They maintained that Odinga is supposed to honour summons like other Kenyans irrespective of their stature or rank in society.
