Bahati Member of parliament Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri has told off those accusing him of playing politics with the bursaries.
He was responding to claims that he is disrupting the learning program in schools by physically distributing the cheques bringing along parents and their children during learning hours.
‘’As a matter of fact in most of the schools I am invited by the head teachers, and it’s not only the bursary cheques we are distributing, we are issuing cheques for constructions within the schools which are funded by the CDF kitty. So should I not check the progress of those projects?’’ Posed Ngunjiri
He went further to state that, he is using the opportunity to talk to the students to motivate them to work hard in their studies.
“As a leader, I use this opportunity to encourage parents to continue educating their children and advise the young men and women to focus on their education. I have never asked for votes in these forums. In fact, those criticizing the forum are the ones playing politics,’’ Ngunjiri said.
