Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has made true his promise to award the best performing student in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) in his constituency.

Ngunjiri who met with Kenneth Njangiru on Saturday who led the Nakuru North Sub County after scoring 429 marks awarded him his token of appreciation in cash money further promising to support him pay his High school fees. 

The MP lauded Njangiru's exemplary performance saying that he had brought pride and recognition to Bahati. 

"Kenneth is one of the top performers in Bahati under my office's reward plan owing to their good performance in KCPE," he said. 

"This will ensure that these brilliant young men and women are challenged to do well in future while we try to make a follow up to ensure that they don't stay out of school due to fees problems," he added. 

The Bahati legislature has also called parents to support children who did not perform well in the exams saying that there were other vocational institutions that such children could get life skills that would make them independent. 

"Failing an exam is not the end of everything, let's make good use of polytechnics and other middle-level colleges at our disposal to make our children people we can be proud of in future," he said.

The 13-year-old Kenneth, now an alumni of Bahati North Academy wants to be a dentist when he grows up.
