King David Secondary school in Bahati constituency will be converted to a boarding school since its surroundings are conducive for learning on a full-time basis.

This is according to Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri who has pointed out that the secondary school should be supported in improving it infrastructure and education standards.

The MP who spoke at the school on Thursday where he presented a Sh700,000 cheques for the building of a classroom said that he will make sure the school transits to a boarding facility.

“This school is situated in a remote area near a forest and it has a conducive environment for learning with no much disturbances,” he stated.

He also said that it was important for the institution to transit as most students are from Bahati and neighbouring ol Kalou constituency in Nyandarua County.

Ngunjiri also said that he will have Bahati CDF allocate funds for the construction of toilets as currently; the secondary school is sharing the facility with pupils of Kanduruma primary school.

“My appeal goes to the board to team up with Bahati CDF officials in drawing up of a workable master plan for the school improvement to be implemented within a reasonable time span so that we achieve our goals in good time,” he said.

The school is in its last phase of power connectivity anticipated to be running in the next two weeks.
