Nakuru County Commissioner Joshua Nkanatha has put on notice all errant security officers who abet crime in the county.
He warned that tough disciplinary measures shall be taken against them.
Speaking on Thursday in Nakuru Town, Nkanatha called upon members of the public to report such officers to relevant authorities so that they can be 'managed' before they harm the society through their atrocious activities.
He said that such officers are not only a let down to the uniformed forces, but also to the society which they are expected to safeguard.
His sentiments come in the wake of allegations that a Njoro based police officer hired out his saloon car to teenagers who went on to perish in Salgaa after the car rammed onto an oncoming bus on January 1.
According to police reports, the teenagers were drunk and had no driving licences.
The said officer, James Kioko, admitted to owning the saloon car but denied giving it out to the deceased teenagers.
