Kisii based politician Hillary Mageka has urged youth from Nyakoe ward and Kisii county at large to reject leaders indulging in the politics of hatred and division ahead of the 2017 general elections.

According to Mageka, it is a high time voters shunned politics of division and hatred which he noted could only lead to polarization of the country.

Speaking at Nyakoe shopping center during the launch of his bid for ward representative seat early on Friday he said the youths have been on many occasions used by politicians to spread hate and disrupt peaceful campaigns and he would like them to change for better.

“All we want is development politics rather than politics that will divide our youths and keep the country and the counties poor for the next decade,” added Mageka.

Mageka noted that most politicians currently have self interest rather than having the larger picture of development and ensuring that they deliver their promises that they gave during their campaigns in the last general election.

He also called upon eligible voters in Kitutu Chache constituency to ensure that they apply for Identification Cards so that they can register as voters in the exercise that will begin in a month’s time.
