Nyamira county director of education Mr Siloma Kinayia has said schools in the county are prepared and ready to receive the standard one laptops.

Speaking in his office on Monday, Kinayia said over four hundred schools in the five sub-counties are are already connected to the national electricity power grid.

He added that the government had also allocated Sh 60000 for every school for ICT room and stores.

"I want to confirm that we're ready for the laptop project and we've prepared enough as the roll out begins in June.Most schools in the county are already connected to electricity and on with construction of ICT rooms," Kinayia said.
