Gatundu North sub-county commissioner Daniel Nyamiti has said that the national government is committed to offering effective services in a bid to accelerate development and transform lives of Gatundu North residents.
Speaking from Kamwangi town on Wednesday, the commissioner disclosed that the government was working closely with road construction companies currently doing murram completion of the Kairi-Mataara road with a view to establish police stations along the areas.
Nyamiti called on residents to accord the firms cooperation and support for the construction works to speed up adding that the government intends to put up four police stations between Kairi, Wandui, Gituamba and Gatunguru in a bid to enhance security.
"Am calling on residents from that area to offer total cooperation with the constructors to ease the ongoing projects," he said.
The sub-county boss noted that residents were obstructing the contractors from accessing water at boreholes, a condition he said was hindering work revealed that he will soon hold talks with residents nearing the roads to offer cooperation.
Nyamiti disclosed that the stations will be equipped to make them effective toward delivery of the essential service to the residents.
"Once the stations are complete, the national government is ready to not only equip them with enough officers but other service delivery machineries," he added.
