A Parliamentary aspirant in Nyaribari Masaba, Benard Moseti has pledged to help bright and needy students in the constituency.
Mr Moseti said he would extend financial support to needy and bright students in the constituency.
While speaking on Thursday during the burial of Willium Ondieki in Gesusu Ward, Moseti said investing in education was the only way through which a community can develop.
He called on parents to invest in their children's future by ensuring they receive better education.
"We must change our ways of trying to give the best of life to our children. The only investment we should give them is education," he said.
He said the education standards in the region had dropped in recent years.
He said called on students in the constituency to compete with those from other regions.
Kenya National Union of Teachers Masaba South branch Executive Secretary Meshack Obonyo tanked last year's KCPE candidates saying there were no exam irregularities registered in the constituency.
