One person broke his arm at a road accident in Athi River town along Nairobi – Namanga Road on Wednesday evening.
Confirming the incident, the area traffic base commander Moses Kimeli said a bus belonging to Rembo Shuttle overturned after his driver lost control of it at an interchange near Shalom Community Hospital in the town.
Kimeli said eight other occupants of the Kitengela bound bus sustained minor injuries in the 8.30pm incident and were all treated at Shalom Community Hospital and discharged same night.
He said other several passengers managed to escape from the vehicle that was from Nairobi City unhurt, took other vehicles and continued with journeys to their respective homes.
Kimeli dismissed claims on the social media that there were casualties in the accident arguing the information is misleading since no life was lost in the accident.
He said the man who broke his arm was also treated at the hospital and discharged at around 11.00 p.m same night.
Kimeli said the driver to the vehicle which was towed to Athi River Police Station sustained minor bruises and was out of danger.
