Speaking on Friday during a funeral event at Kiobegi village in Bobasi constituency, Kisii Senator Chris Obure and South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya told Ongwae to stop giving further promises till he has fulfilled the ones he pledged.

“Governor owes Kisii residents explanation on the projects he has done. You cannot continue giving promises when you have not fulfilled the ones you have already promised,” said Oyongo.

“Don’t give any other promise before you complete the one you have initiated,” Obure told Ongwae.

In his response while addressing the mourners, Ongwae said his government has done a number of projects and was intending to more before the term ends.

“We have done a lot of projects since we entered in office three years ago. We have put solar lights in 52 market centers that are now helping our mothers to do business till late hours.”

He added: “We have constructed a number of roads across the county. We stopped a little while because of the El Nino rains but their construction has begun.”
