Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has challenged Kisii County Assembly Speaker Okerosi Ondieki to organise a ceremony meeting with all Kisii County members of parliament and the county MCAs to give an account of their performance so far.

According to Ongwae, MPs and MCAs in Kisii County should be told what Governor Ongwae and his Deputy Governor Joash Maangi have done since they got in office, so that they can be kept in check.

Speaking on Friday in Kisii town, governor Ongwae said  the meeting should be organised soon so that leaders can meet and  share, after which the residents should be told all developments done by the government.

“We need to come together as Kisii County leaders to share what we have done in development, and to promise to do more to fulfill all pledges we made during the campaign,” said Ongwae.

Ongwae challenged county leaders to shun off politics and concentrate on developing the county, and further promised to work with all leaders

“Let us work together and leave politics aside, because politics can’t help us develop, we need to work together and pull in the same direction," he added.
