Kibera bodaboda operators have revealed why they love each other despite their ethnic backgrounds.
Speaking at the DC market on Wednesday, the bodaboda riders said they choose to embrace unity for a better life.
‘''We love working together as one family because we have goals to achieve at the end of the day. In any place, unity is needed for better results. You can never say you will live alone without having friends to assist you,'' said James Wabomba, one of the riders.
''We are brothers and what ties us together is the type of job we do. We wake up very early and sleep very late. We encourage ourselves not to tire because this is the only way we can earn an extra shilling. As a family, we support each other not basing judgment on any limiting factor like education level, family background or tribe,'' added another rider, Kevin Musungu.
The operators say that they are each others strength and if they were not so united they would not be able to appreciate their job.
