Mwangi challenged the NGOs to consolidate their resources and work plans as part of the strategy of maximising their anti-HIV/Aids campaign impact in the region.

Speaking at Gusii stadium on Tuesday afternoon during this year's World Aids Day, Mwangi said having NGOs operating working in isolation leads to duplication of programmes and activities which could be consolidated to improve on the performance of the campaigns in the county.

The commissioner said having NGOs working towards a common goal of fighting the disease by consolidating their resources, programmes and implementation strategies will lead to successful combating of the scourge.

"I am challenging all NGOs operating in Kisii County to ensure they work together and consolidate both their resources and implementation work plans to maximise on the impact in the war against HIV/Aids instead of duplicating programmes targeting the same client," he said.
