Kitutu Chache North Member of Parliament Jimmy Angwenyi has said 54 kilometres of roads in the constituency will be tarmacked before 2017.

According to the MP, the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) will undertake the exercise expected to commence in 2016.

Among the roads that the legislature said will be tarmacked include Nyakeyo-Mbanda , Mbanda-Marani-Kegogia and Marani Nyakongo.

“The construction of the road will commence soon because everything is in place already,” said Angwenyi.

The lawmaker promised to do more development in his constituency since he was elected to do development.

He said infrastructural development will be his priority in the 2016/2017 Financial Year.

He said more roads will be tarmacked to help farmers easy access to markets.

The MP said he would strive to fulfill his campaign pledges before 2017.
