The Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee plans to grill anybody with information on the Eurobond saga.
Already, the chairman of the committee Nicholas Gumbo has announced that opposition leader Raila Odinga is ready to appear before the committee.
Gumbo said the Committee will soon start sittings to take views of the former premier who blew the whistle on the alleged loss of Eurobond money.
He said their mandate is to scrutinize how public funds are utilised.
“There is no vendetta; it is our duty to find out to the public concerns being raised. Let anyone with any information regarding this matter to appear before the Committee,” he said.
Gumbo said the Committee will also grill those Kenyans who feel that the Eurobond proceeds were used prudently.
Addressing a press conference in his Kisumu on Saturday, Gumbo said that corruption is endemic in the country and called for a concerted effort to reverse the trend.
He said reduction of graft in the country will open gateway for proper service delivery to the people of Kenya.
“Many Kenyans today lack water, good roads, proper housing because somebody is eating the money that was meant to address that. Let us join our hands and fight this demon called corruption,” he said.
Gumbo said Kenya is a productive country and the poverty index will be low if fighting graft becomes an agenda for everyone.
