Parents of Kangundo DEB have blamed the headteacher of the school Mr. Benard Kivuva for the poor performance from the pupils in the school. Speaking to this writer on Monday, the parents said that the school has been fairing on badly even though it is well equipped academically.
They also claimed that some facilities in the school were in poor condition despite the fact that it is a sponsored school and parents pay money for the same.
"We are worried that our children will not benefit to the fullest in this institution under the management of the same headteacher" said Ann Kaloki, a parent in the school.
"He was my headteacher when i was schooling in this same school and now that my child is a pupil here, he still is the head but no change has been experienced in his regime surely, a change is better than a rest," said a parent who refused to be identified.
They called upon the TSC county director in Machakos county to investigate the leadership of the said teacher whereby some of them threatened to transfer their children if no action is taken. Our efforts to talk to the headteacher bore no fruits.
