To most parents here, doing a nice shopping for their young ones is the best way to appreciate their good performance.

The busy Kongowea market was a bee hive of activities as parents were busy shopping.

Children alike were not left behind. In fact, they were the busiest group as they were taking their parents around the market to ensure they acquire everything on their shopping lists.

Donald Ochudang, whose son is set to join Ng'ombeni secondary school in Msambeni, expressed the difficulties he has gone through to ensure his son enrolls in school successfully.

“I have sacrificed a lot to ensure that he joins school just like others,” said the father of two as he was leaving the market.

Dennis Ekisa, a resident of Likoni, said that he was forced to apply for a loan in a bid to facilitate his programmes.

“This is a tough process,” he said.
