Parents from Ogembo sub county are preparing to go to court to seek for justice after their children missed the class eight final exam.

The parents said they would sue the headteacher of St Francis Eburi Academy for failing to register their children for the KCPE exams despite having released the registration fee.

Led by one of the parents Cyrus Ombori in a press conference in Kisii town on Thursday, the parents said the 32 candidates had paid all the money needed and they are now calling for the management of the school to account for the loss.

Mr Ombori said the candidates of St Francis Eburi Academy turned up for the exam only to learn that the school’s owner had disappeared. He also added that they had paid KCPE registration fee and were assured of their children sitting for the exam.

The parents decried the ruining of the candidates' education careers saying when rumor spread that their children might not have been registered, they sought for an explanation from the institution’s owner in vain.

The parents said they have tried to reach the owner of the school but he is still in hiding.

Confirming the incident on phone, Ogembo OCPD Richard Muguai said they have already received the reports and they were searching for the owner of the school who is hiding.
