Parents in Kikuyu have been advised to be wary of drug peddlers targeting school going children.
Speaking in his office on Wednesday, Kikuyu Chief James Mbugua said there were many drug peddlers selling drugs to students.
He told parents to be watchful especially now as students are in holiday.
He explained that investigations had revealed that the drug sellers were mostly located near shopping centres where youth hung out.
He said most of the peddlers sell bhang.
“The people involved will be dealt with accordingly,” he said.
The chief said drug peddlers will not be allowed to spoil the future of children in the location.
He said police will remain vigilant in the fight against drugs and drug abuse.
He said even students involved in the business will be arrested and prosecuted.
