A middle aged man was arrested on Friday night at Mang'eli in Kikuumini location Masinga sub county after he tried to lynch his parents.
Confirming the incident Kikuumini location chief Shadrack Ndungi said that the suspect arrived home drunk at around 11am carrying petrol in a jerrycan where he ordered his parents to get out of their house.
Chief Ndungi said that the man tried to lynch them but they got away and sought help from neighbours where community policing officers arrived and took the man and handed him over to the police.
The chief disclosed that the suspect's parents have complained of numerous harassment from the man.
"The suspects parents have reported to my office of numerous harassment from their son who they say is a chronic bhang addict," said Ndungi.
The man is held at Kikuumini police station as he awaits to appear in court on Monday.
