Police in Matuu have launched manhunt for a man suspected of murdering his wife on Friday night in Kwa Makaa area in Kithimani Yatta sub-county.
Confirming the incident, Yatta OCPD Edward Changach said the suspect who is a primary teacher beheaded his 38-years-old wife using a kitchen knife after a family dispute.
"The couple had a misunderstanding where the man took a knife and killed his wife and ran away," Changach said.
Changach said the 38-year-old man fled after committing the crime and police have launched investigations.
The body of the deceased was taken to Matuu Median hospital mortuary.
