Traders in Pondamali estate have appealed to the county government to construct them better stalls after floods swept through the market.
The traders said they go through hard times whenever it rains heavily since rain water at times sweeps away their goods owing to lack of better stalls.
Mary Adhiambo who sells vegetables was at pains after some of her produce was carried away by rain water.
"We go through hell in this market because we are forced to air our goods on the ground and floods never spare them. I have lost quite a lot and I appeal to the county government to help us out with better stalls,"she said.
Her sentiments were echoed by Peris Magara who said after the rains, their selling ground becomes so damp forcing them to close business early.
