Kisumu County Women Representative Rose Nyamunga has called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to intensify the fight against corruption to save the country from collapse.
Nyamunga said the government has a duty to protect its citizens from corruption adding that corruption and tribalism will destroy the country's economy and must be tamed.
“Our country is in a mess and the president must now step in and bring order and sanity to the government,” she said.
Speaking in Nyando Constituency on Friday when she met a group of women groups, Nyamunga said those mentioned in corruption deals and are public officers must step aside.
She said investigations must be done in the Devolution ministry and unearth the truth about the loss of millions.
She said as the head of the Devolution CS Anne Waiguru must be accountable for the funds under her ministry.
“I don’t buy the argument of Waiguru, let her just step as aside to allow for investigations. If she is found to be innocent, let her return to her job,” she said.
