He said that a peaceful region is a suitable recipe that attracts investors.

The governor said this on Thursday during a function at a King's Outreach Church in Ahero town.

He added that peace is key to development.

The investments will in turn provide jobs for many people, he said.

"I know many of our youths are jobless. Because of this, we are moving all around to look for investors who will commit capital in the county. The investments will provide job opportunities for our young people," he said.

"Now I continue to ask you to also continue praying to our Lord for a peaceful Kisumu that investors will love to put their wealth in," the governor added.

The governor also asked churches to join hands with the government to help the needy in the society.

He said that welfare of orphans and widows should be a concern for both the church and the government.

The function was also attended by Kisumu Women Representative Rose Nyamunga, and several ward administrators.
