Rongai MP Raymond Moi has denied claims that he is among the most silent parliamentarians who are yet to make a maiden speech on the floor of the august House since his election in 2013.
Through his personal assistant John Biwott, Mr Moi dismissed the findings by Mzalendo Trust as inaccurate, adding that he was an active contributor to several bills in the National Parliament.
Moi insisted that he had contributed immensely to the Mining, Community Land and the Natural Resource Bills.
Biwott added that maybe the first time lawmaker was contributing late in the evening hence could not have been captured.
According to the Trust, some 27 legislators out of the total 349, had not contributed to any plenary discussion in the entire 2015 session.
It went on to claim that of the 27, about five other legislators including Mr Moi, were yet to give their maiden speech, meaning they were yet to utter a single word on the floor of the house.
The other four MPs include Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Gonzi Rai (Kinango), Alex Kosgey (Emgwen) and Tirus Ngahu (Kangema).
